Xbox 360 owners receive $75 promotional code when purchasing an Xbox One

If you’re an Xbox 360 owner and are thinking about buying an Xbox One, Microsoft is now giving you an additional reason to do so. A number of last gen users have reported that Microsoft currently has a promotion going it. The company is apparently offering $75 Xbox promotional codes with the purchase of a new standard Xbox One console, Kinect bundle or special edition. Promotional codes will only be sent out until the end of the month, but can be redeemed until October 15th and must be spent by October 14th, 2015 or within 365 days of redemption, whichever comes first. That’s assuming you’ll get one of course.

Microsoft didn’t announce the requirements for this promotion and it seems that only some Xbox 360 users are eligible for the offer. So for now I guess that you just have to hope you’re lucky enough to be offered the code. The message that comes with the promotional code reads: “As out way of saying thanks we’re giving YOU, one of our very best customers, an exclusive $75 Xbox promotional code with the purchase of any Xbox One or Xbox One Bundle from Microsoft Store or your local retailer. Your code can be used for games, add-ons, movies, and more!”

It does say “one of our best customers” so perhaps you need to make a certain number of purchases in order to be eligible. In any case, if you do receive it that basically means you can get at least one free new game, which is what I assume people are going to use it for. A lot of new titles will be released this Fall so it’s definitely a great deal. If you happen to find out what are the requirements for receiving the Xbox One promotional code please let other people know in the comments section below.
