If you’ve been planning on picking up an LG Google Nexus 5, there’s no time like the present. The highly sought-out phone from LG has just received some great new deals, and is perhaps more affordable than ever, which is no easy feat, considering that the Nexus 5 brought great value right from the start. Many Android enthusiasts prefer the Nexus 5 over other flagship phones because of its raw, unaltered Android version, which is blazing fast, and is not hindered by unnecessary UI features. This has just recently gotten better, as the Nexus 5 is among the first phones in the world to receive the Android KitKat 4.4.3 update (which is already available).
For UK residents, the Google Nexus 5 is now available at Carphone Warehouse for as low as £249.95 for the 16 GB version. This is almost the lowest price we’ve ever seen on the Nexus 5 in the UK, rivaling the £239.99 price from February. Still, it’s a great bargain, and one you shouldn’t pass up on. At the same time, offers emerged on Ebay, where the Google Nexus 5 can be picked up for $334 (also the 16 GB version). Keep in mind that in both cases, we’re talking about carrier-free deals, so this is just the phone, no strings attached. In the similar price-range, the Samsung Galaxy S4 got a price-trim too, and it’s available at $350 on Ebay, although frankly, the Nexus 5 offers a lot more for less.
The deal seems to apply for 3 color variants of the Nexus 5: black, white and bright red. Sure, that doesn’t sound like much in terms of customization options, but considering what a great phone the Nexus 5 really is, it shouldn’t really matter. In case you have forgotten, the Google Nexus 5 brings great hardware along for the ride. It sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad-Core CPU, 2 GB of RAM, a pretty solid 2300 mAh battery, an 8 MP main camera that does a good enough job, and of course, a full HD, 1920x1080p resolution, 5 inch IPS LCD screen with 445 PPI. That’s quite a lot for little over $300, isn’t it?
