With one of, if not the biggest gaming press events around the corner, it is no surprise that virtually all eyes are going to be on E3 2015. The question is though, where do you want to watch the event and what kind of coverage do you want (or in some cases, what kind of personalities do you want to watch). In any case, the schedule for the major E3 2015 conferences is as follows (in PDT):
June 14
Bethesda- 7 P.M.
June 15
Xbox- 9:30 A.M.
EA- 1:00 P.M.
Ubisoft- 3:00 P.M.
PlayStation- 6 P.M.
June 16
Nintendo- 9:00 A.M.
Square Enix- 10:00 A.M.
PC- 5:00 P.M.
Aside from the major news outlets and coverage provided by those hosting the conference themselves (i.e. you can watch the Microsoft conference live on your Xbox 360 and Xbox One), both Youtube and Twitch will be providing coverage. Youtube’s coverage will be led by Rooster Teeth, known for its long running Red vs. Blue machinima series based on the Halo franchise, and will include live Lets Plays of new titles along with interviews with various personas from the gaming industry. Trailer Battle, Nintendo’s Digital Event, and Treehouse Live will also make an appearance in Youtube’s coverage of E3.
Twitch will likewise be providing coverage of E3, and will be the exclusive broadcasting platform of the PC conference. Unlike the Youtube coverage though, Twitch will allow broadcasters to stream the event on their own channels, to provide their own commentary on news as it develops. Furthermore, Twitch will include options for those who prefer French and German, featuring Jeuxvideo and Rocket Beans TV respectively.
Both Youtube and Twitch will allow those who are covering the event to provide their own commentary and opinions however, going beyond merely reporting on what is happening. This is intended to give a more personal experience, and will allow for multiple viewpoints on what is happening throughout the day
