If you are one of the people who purchased the Season Pass for Assassin’s Creed Unity, know that a free game is now available to you courtesy of Ubisoft. The company announced this “promotion” a while ago, but only now did they finish working on the website that allows you to download the free game. Available titles naturally only include those developed by Ubisoft, but there’s quite a decent selection to choose from. It’s also worth mentioning that you can only get a game for the same platform than you own Assassin’s Creed Unity on. Apparently this restriction is not so much because of the game itself, but rather because of the Season Pass.
As for the available free games, you can choose between a total of six titles, most of which are definitely worth grabbing if you haven’t got the chance to play them already. These games are as follows: Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, The Crew, Just Dance 2015, and Rayman Legends. This offer is available for all Assassin’s Creed Unity Season Pass owners only until March 15, 2015. If you don’t own the game I’m sure you’re probably wondering by now about the reasons behind Ubisoft’s sudden generosity. Well, in short, they really messed up with Assassin’s Creed Unity and are trying to make up for it.
As you may or may not know, the company released the game in a bug-riddled, glitch-filled, nearly unplayable state, which unsurprisingly caused an uproar within the community. In an effort to save face, Ubisoft apologized and offered everybody who owns Assassin’s Creed Unity free access to the Dead Kings DLC. The DLC was meant to be part of the Season Pass and was thus devalued, which caused yet another uproar, this time coming from the players who payed money for the pass. Long story short, Ubisoft is now giving a free game of choice to anyone who bought the Assassin’s Creed Unity Season Pass in order to make it up to them. If you are a Season Pass owner, you can head over to this website right now and claim you free game with Ubisoft’s blessing.
