Most of the details regarding the Meizu MX4 Pro have been leaked recently as the device underwent a benchmark test on GFX. Thanks to the test, we now have all the specifications for the upcoming smartphone and we also know how it looks like thanks to some previously leaked images. All we need now is information related to the price, but we believe that we’ll only learn those details next month when the Meizu MX4 is expected to make its first official appearance. In any case, let’s take a look at the revealed specs for now and worry about the price later.
According to the GFX benchmark, The Meizu MX4 Pro will come equipped with a 5.5-inch touchscreen with 2560 x 1563 resolution. This is already a substantial upgrade over the standard Meizu MX4, which only features a 5.36-inch panel with 1152 x 1920 resolution. Hardware-wise, we’re looking at a Samsung Exynos 5 chipset complete with octa-core processor clocked at 2 GHz, ARM Mali-T628 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. Again, an improvement over the previous model, especially in the RAM department. The benchmarked Meizu MX4 Pro sports 16 GB of internal storage memory, but we assume it will also have at least one more variant with increased storage. However, there is no information regarding this at the moment so take it as mere speculation for now.
The GFX benchmark also reveals a 20.7 MP primary camera along with a front-facing 5MP selfie snapper. Battery life is not known at this time, but were certain to learn all about it in due time. The Meizu MX Pro will run on the Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system customized with Flyme OS. Features include: accelerometer, gyroscope, pedometer, nfc and barometer among others. The Meizu MX4 Pro will likely only be available at Chinese retailers, but we’ll only know for sure once it’s officially unveiled.
