OPPO to launch 4 new devices in Australia, including a selfie-phone

OPPO is expanding its market to Australia today with the launch of four new smartphones, including a selfie-phone, which has lately become the norm in new launches. OPPO decided to enter the Australian market because latest surveys revealed that their products have stirred interest among Aussie consumers and they picked the best time for their entrance.

With so much hype around IFA, OPPO couldn’t have picked a better time for expansion since smart gadgets are becoming more and more popular around the world. Initially, OPPO will introduce the Find 7, N1 Mini, Find 7a and Neo 5, which will instantly become popular if we listen to rumors. Since these are both high- and mid-range smartphones, they will surely find their place in each of the Australian market’s fields.

OPPO’s main purpose in the smartphone market is to offer high-end devices that don’t cost as much as other flagships out there, without having to sacrifice performance or design in the process. The company has also revealed that they won’t limit their product line to the four devices we mentioned above, saying that they have “a huge amount of devices” coming up in the Australian market.

The selfie phone we’ve mentioned is actually the N1 Mini, which brings a rotating camera to the device with a 195 degree angle. The camera in itself functions great, according to rumors, skipping you of the hassle of downloading third-party camera applications. Its features include a “beautify” mode, which will supposedly slim your face and clear your skin. The N1 also has a GIF maker which will come in handy when you want to create animations at the push of a button.

Other features of the camera include a slow shutter, HDR and panorama. The N1 has a 5 inch screen which should be enough for most people, 16 GB internal storage, but it doesn’t have a microSD slot, so you’re going to have to manage with the space offered by the manufacturer. The handset will supposedly cost around $550, which is not a cheap bargain, but if you’re the selfie enthusiast or camera geek, it might just be worth the investment. You also get the O-Click with the N1, a gadget that acts as a remote for the camera and as a phone-finding pebble, too. Thus, we can say that it’s not a bad deal.

OPPO’s more popular flagships, the Find 7 and Find 7a will also turn some Aussie heads when launched in the country. The Find 7 competes with current flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S5, LG G3 and iPhone 5S, so it will be a neat addition to the market. The flagship sports a 5.5 inch screen at 2K resolution and 538 ppi. It also features a 13 MP camera, powerful battery, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 32 GB of storage and Android 4.3. This unit will sell for around $720.

The Find 7a will go a bit cheaper than its big brother, for around $630, which is quite the price drop. The price-cut can be accomplished because the Find 7a has a smaller battery,processor and screen resolution. What’s nice is that it still keeps the 5.5 inch screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The Neo 5 on the other hand, is the cheapest of the 4 smartphones OPPO will be releasing in Australia. It will sport 4 G and quad core CPU with a simple design and a 4.5 inch screen. It will sell for about $220, which is a nice price for a mid-range, yet powerful phone. Consequently, OPPO will probably enter Australia with a blast, becoming a rival to current leaders in smartphone sales.
