James Turner, the former art director of Pokémon Sword and Shield, is currently producing the gorgeous-looking Plucky Squire. But this does not imply that the artist has abandoned Pokémon; during the past several days on Twitter, he has acknowledged that he created two Pokémon for Scarlet and Violet.
Tatsugiri, the Pokémon that looks like a sushi fish, and Dondozo, the enormous catfish-like creature, are interestingly the two Pokémon Turner has (so far) revealed he worked on. The target is known to be drawn to Tatsugiri by acting dead, and once the animal is in range, Dondozo is ordered to attack. Dondozo frequently harbors Tatsugiri inside his mouth. Both of these Pokémon are present near Casseroya Lake.
Tatsugiri, also known as the Mimicry Pokémon, has three distinct forms: curly (orange), droopy (red), and stretchy (yellow). But to us, it’s just a sweet little bit of sushi! Also, it is a dragon/water type.

Dodozo, on the other hand, is everything but tiny. Dondozo, a large catfish Pokémon of the Water type, performs best in dual battles with Tatsugiri. The tiny fish will remain in Dondozo’s mouth because of its special Commander ability. The move Order Up will thereafter receive a stat increase based on Tastugiri’s form if it is used by Tastugiri.
Both of these Pokémon had exquisite designs by Turner, and when we played the game through, they both caught our attention. On Twitter, he also said that he was free to choose the colors of the shiny parts of the Pokémon he made.

But James Turner did not just create Pokémon for Scarlet and Violet. He acknowledged designing Professor Sada and Professor Turo, the generation’s Pokémon professors, a few months ago.
