Several PS5 and PS4 games from PlayStation Studios have returned to the UK’s physical sales charts thanks to early Black Friday purchases. Following discounts that lowered its price to around £10, The Last of Us: Part II climbed to the 18th spot. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales then experienced a 292% increase in sales, propelling it to the 26th spot. The Last of Us: Part I jumped up to 38th, followed by Gran Turismo 7 in a position that was comparable.
God of War Ragnarok was never going to be able to maintain its lead, though, with the Pokémon series’ juggernaut releasing two new installments last week. As Pokémon Violet and Pokémon Scarlet are listed separately, it really drops to fourth, and FIFA 23 sells better in third. In the UK, Pokémon has now had the largest physical launch of the year. Sales for God of War Ragnarok decreased by 73% from its first week, which is typical for new releases.
Everyone else in the remaining top 10 games just makes place for Pokémon, which dominates social media due to its ridiculous flaws and glitches rather than its gameplay or plot. Horizon Forbidden West keeps seventh place, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 drops to sixth, and Sonic Frontiers drops to tenth.
Here is the complete list of the most recent top 10.
