The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is absolutely a mammoth of a title, and pretty soon gamers will be able to take that experience on the go with the upcoming Switch version. Nintendo revealed during E3 2019 that the critically-acclaimed RPG would be coming to the platform later this year, but now we might have the official release date thanks to a retailer leak.
This leak comes from a Czech retailer, who briefly listed the game’s release date as September 24th. The listing has since been removed and now just says 2019, but this was likely due to the fact that they listed information that they weren’t supposed to. Retailers around the world make these kinds of slip-ups all the time, so it seems like this could end up being the game’s actual release date.
For those unfamiliar with the game, it has you take control of a Witcher named Geralt who is a professional monster hunter tasked with finding a child of prophecy. His adventure takes him through a vast open world filled with merchant cities, pirate islands, mountains and caverns all hiding untold evils.
The game is loaded with hundreds of hours of gameplay, but this Switch version of the game will also come packed with the two fantastic expansions called Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. This makes it one of the best values in gaming, and having it on Switch means you’ll be able to explore the vast world whenever you want.
