Lego Dimensions Level Packs Leaked?

Portal and Jurassic World-themed content might be making its way to Lego Dimensions, after Walmart listed the items on its website. Pages for Scooby Doo and The Simpsons playsets were also discovered, but none of the products were accompanied by images or release dates. A number of popular franchises, including Batman and The Lord of the Rings, have already been confirmed as part of the game as it looks to compete with Skylanders and Disney Infinity.

Lego Dimensions is an action-adventure game being developed by Traveller’s Tales, and published by Warner Bros. It is assumed that the title will have similar gameplay mechanics to the wealth of Lego games preceding it. This time around however, instead of focusing solely on one universe, Lego Dimensions will bring together a selection of heroes from different worlds to battle an evil, masked villain. Those heroes will include representatives from both Lego’s own properties, such as Emmett from the Lego Movie, and characters from other established franchises like the previously mentioned Batman.

Neither Traveller’s Tales or Warner Bros. have commented on this potential leak, but it should be noted that a Lego Portal playset has been rumoured for some time now, and a Lego Jurassic World game has been officially announced. A recent episode of The Simpsons was also created entirely with Lego bricks, so these potential add-on packs are not sitting entirely out of the realm of possibility. Nearly all of these franchises have physical Lego sets available for purchase too.

Lego Dimensions is set to be released this September. The ‘starter pack’ will include the game disc, character portal, three character figures (Gandalf, Batman and Wyldstyle) and a bat-mobile model. There will also be a selection of addon packs available at launch, which will introduce (amongst other things) Back To The Future and Ninjago content to the game.
