Last week Blizzard released their second “Adventure” for their popular online card game, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. This Adventure is titled Blackrock Mountain and is based off of one of the most iconic areas in World of Warcraft. Similar to the game’s first Adventure, Curse of Naxxramas, Blackrock Mountain allows players to play against some of the biggest characters in Warcraft lore in order to earn up to 31 new cards to use in their decks. Like the previous Adventure, it is also divided into five wings, with a new one becoming available each week.
This week saw the release of the adventure’s second wing, Molten Core. This wing is divided into three encounters, Garr, Barron Geddon, and Ragnaros the Firelord, each of which are taken from the classic WoW raid which shares the same name. After completing each of the encounters, along with the Warrior and Shaman class challenges that are also part of the wing, players will be rewarded with six new cards to use in their decks. For those players looking for more of a challenge, each encounter has a Heroic difficulty that is much more difficult.
The second wing of Blackrock Mountain does a great job of combining the epic feeling of WoW’s Molten Core raid and the light-hearted card game of Hearthstone. If you are interested in testing your luck against Ragnaros and his minions and earning some new cards, than each wing is available for purchase for 700 gold. Alternatively, they can be purchased for $6.99 individually or all five wings may be purchased for $24.99.
