Today’s Greenlight standout is Rememoried, an indie exploration game by Hangonit. Rememoried caught my eye initially based on the standout visuals that I saw instantly upon starting the trailer. The pickings were very slim today, and it was a relief to see something interesting such as Rememoried pop up on my Greenlight queue. The game is described as “a virtual place where memories change to dreams and the only way forward is to forget”. Impressively enough, Rememoried is made by a single-person studio. The visuals are extremely impressive and stand out from what we’ve seen before from similar exploration games such as Gone Home or Dear Esther. While I’m not typically a fan of the genre, Rememoried promises a surreal experience that already leaves me asking questions about the story that the game will tell. There isn’t much information available on the game, however, and I will remain skeptical until they release a bit more information on the story and potential length that they are planning on.
Rememoried looks like an interesting experience, and I hope to see more on it in the near future. While we have many exploration games coming out of Greenlight, and the indie community as a whole, Rememoried promises to stand out with its unique visuals and the surreal, abstract experience that it is claiming to provide. If you are interested in learning more about the game, you can check out their page on Greenlight. Definitely consider leaving a vote and some feedback. I, however, am still waiting for a bit more before I decide on this one, but in its current state, it has a lot of potential to become an interesting experience.
