HTC has more or less confirmed that BoomSound speakers are going to be featured on the upcoming HTC One M9. As Twitter seems to be the best source for spilling the beans nowadays, HTC Ireland and HTC USA have taken advantage of the interest in the new HTC One M9 and have taken to tweeting a bit of information to calm fans down. There’s less than a week left until we can officially get our hands on the HTC One M9, and the fact that BoomSound speakers will be a given is nothing less than great, to be honest.
One of the best features of the HTC One (M7) and the One M8 were the front-facing BoomSound speakers, so we didn’t even expect the company to bench the feature in favor of something else with the One M9. Still, it feels great to have official confirmation that the new flagship will indeed come with the best smartphone speakers on the market. With so little time left until the official launch, we expect more information to come our way from HTC, as well as sources close to the company that will hopefully fill us in with official specs just ahead of the launch.

Even though we’re glad about the BoomSound speakers, we’re hoping at the same time that the design will be improved compared to the One M8, whose bezels were a bit on the large side, in my opinion. BoomSound speakers will take up a lot of space, but we hope HTC will find the middle ground and get the design just right so that the One M9 Hima doesn’t end up being too over-sized. Whichever the case may be, we have a good idea as to what kind of hardware the device will sport: Snapdragon 810, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, 20 MP camera on the rear, 5 MP camera on the front and a pretty big battery. Stay tuned to find out more about the next HTC One M9 ahead of the MWC launch.
