Pokemon Bank users get special Evolved Gen 2 Starters

Pull out those 3DS’s, kids, here comes yet another Pokemon promotion. As a special bonus to Pokemon Bank users, they will receive a Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feligatr, from Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver. Each of these pokemon are not only going to be available, but these bad boys will have their own special perks to make them…well, special, making them actual promotional pokemon and not just a rerelease of a pokemon you might already have.

Meganium’s special ability is Leaf Guard, which protects the pokemon from any status ailments while the sunlight is harsh or very harsh. To complement this, the little guy has been outfitted with Sunny Day, so that players can start taking advantage of this ability from the get-go. Typhlosion’s Hidden Ability is Flash Fire, which improves the damage of his Fire-Type moves by 50%, but also makes him immune from opponents’ fire-type attacks. Much like Meganium, his move-set is built to complement this ability, and he has three (unknown) fire-type moves preloaded into his arsenal. Feligatr’s Hidden Ability is Sheer Force: while his attacks don’t have any extra effects (such as putting enemies to sleep, etc), his attacks are 30% stronger. His attacks are actually disclosed: he comes with Ice Punch, Crunch, and Waterfall. Unfortunately, due to his hidden ability, their extra effects aren’t going to be of much use.

In order to get ahold of these three pokemon, you will have to use Pokemon bank. Not just that, but you will have to access Pokemon Link after using Pokemon Bank on either Pokemon X, Pokemon Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire. And no, you can’t just get them multiple times if you have multiple pokemon games; you these pokemon will only be received once per pokemon bank account. This promotion will be available exclusively to Pokemon bank users, from February 27 to November 30, 2015.
