New Trailer for Final Fantasy XV Demo

Square Enix has released a trailer for their Final Fantasy XV demo entitled Episode Duscae. The trailer gives some glimpses into the narrative and characters involved in the demo as well as some of the bigger monsters the player will have to face.

The trailer for the Final Fantasy XV demo shows a lot of our heroes running around on foot and exploring. The Final Fantasy XV demo is named for the Duscae region in which it takes place; it’s only a small sub-section of the whole game map. There seems to be some stealth mode mechanics involved as well. There’s also an appearance of Cindy- the female version of Cid in this game- and a giant hairy monster that will have to be defeated.

The developer has confirmed that Episode Duscae will take about 2-3 hours to complete, enough time to give the players a good feel for how the mechanics of the game work as well as for how the style and the mood of the game will come together in the finished project. However, one confirmed limitation is that the player will not be able to drive the car themselves in the demo. However, the car does appear near the end, so perhaps the player will be able to ride in the back in order to make travel move quicker at some points.

The Final Fantasy XV demo will be available to all those who also buy Final Fantasy: Type-0 HD on the same day as the remake’s release. Type-0 is being released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 17 in the United States and March 20 in Europe.

The full Final Fantasy XV game has yet to be given a release date for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but Square Enix has recently outsourced development, indicating that the work may be picking up in pace. Watch the trailer for the Final Fantasy demo below.
