The Sims 4 can now be played completely free of charge courtesy of EA and their Origin “Game Time” program. The same program that already offered free access to Titanfall, Battlefield 4, and Kingdoms of Amalur is now adding Maxis’ real life simulator to that list. As always, there are a couple of things that you need to keep in mind before playing anything with Origin Game Time. First off, you will need an Origin account to play The Sims 4 for free because it’s only available on EA’s platform. Also, this promotion will only be available for a limited time so you better hurry if you want to benefit from it. Specifically, you have until February 2nd to add the game to your library.
Worth mentioning is that you will only have 48 hours of free game time to enjoy The Sims 4 and the timer will continue to run whether you’re playing it or not. That said, you can add the game to your library until February 2nd and start the timer whenever you feel like it. The best course of action would be to start playing when you have two days of free time on your hands so that you can spend as much time as possible in the game. However, if you only want to take a quick peak at The Sims 4 to see what all the fuss is about and don’t plan on playing it for a long time, you can naturally do that as well.
As for where you have to go to download the The Sims 4 and play for free, you need not look any further than this link right here. Once you’re there, you can also grab Titanfall, Kingdoms of Amalur, and Battlefield 4 and play them for free. The first two games are also available only for 48 hours while Battlefield 4 can be played free for no fewer than 168 hours. Origin is also offering another free game in the form of Theme Hospital and there’s no timer involved here. Just grab it and it’s yours to keep.
