Capcom has delayed the release of Resident Evil Revelations 2 by exactly one week after its original announcement date of February 17. Now launching on February 24th on the PSN and February 25th on Xbox Live, all 4 installments of the episodic game have been pushed back, and the physical disc-based edition which will now be available on March 17th.

Capcom has released a statement on the Resident Evil Revelations 2 website regarding the delay in a reassuring effort to keep fans of the franchise enthused about the forthcoming episodes: “In an effort to fine-tune the final product, we’ve moved the release of the first episode back just one week to February 24.”
Each digital episode will release on Tuesday for PSN and Wednesday for Xbox Live and Steam for $5.99 following the initial episode launch, which will be required to download the remaining 3 episodes. Once downloaded, the rest of the season can then be purchased individually at roughly $24 for the whole game. The Complete Season is being offered for preorder on the Playstation 4 for $24.99 and will include the 4 main episodes, 2 additional episodes, Hunk for Raid Mode and, if you preorder it, you will get a Raid Mode Throwback Map Pack for free. The Complete Season will also be available for purchase on the Playstation 3 according to Capcom’s Unity website. However, it is uncertain at this time if the Complete Season bundle will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
The Disc Version will be available on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 for $39.99 and will contain the Complete season (all 4 main episodes, the two extra episodes, Hunk, and the Throwback Map Pack) and additional costumes for Claire, Moira, Barry and Natalia for the main campaign and Raid Mode, and Albert Wesker as a playable character in Raid Mode.
Evil Returns to the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
