The Motorola Droid Turbo Lollipop update is seemingly around the corner, and has been in this state for quite some time now. OEMs are taking their sweet time to release the Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA to the public, and people are getting very impatient about it. Nonetheless, Motorola developers and team members have confirmed that the update will begin its global rollout to all recent Motorola devices by the time February starts off.
Some Motorola Droid Turbo owners who have signed up for the soak test may have already received Android 5.0 Lollipop at the beginning of January, and correlating that with what Motorola keeps saying for a few weeks now, we can estimate that the first week of February is the most likely to see the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop to more Motorola Droid Turbo devices.
One of the most requested fixes that are expected to appear in the Motorola Droid Turbo Lollipop update is an overhaul of the stock camera application since many are complaining that it is slow to respond and takes a long time to focus. There are options out there to fix this issue with third-party applications, but many users would rather keep the stock app and wait for it to be updated and improved as soon as Lollipop rolls out because in the case of the Motorola Droid Turbo, its stock app has proprietary features like the Twist-camera feature.
We’ve checked all the Motorola forums and developer sources to see if we could get an exact date on which the Android 5.0 Lollipop update would be launched towards the Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo. Needless to say, we came up with no concrete day, only assumptions and speculations. Alas, we would predict the rollout for February 1st, but do take a grain of salt with that information, please. Whichever the case may be, we are looking forward to seeing the Motorola Droid Turbo Lollipop update rolling out soon.
