Majora’s Mask 3D Limited Edition will come with a Skull Kid figurine. The Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask 3D is a remake of the cult classic Majora’s Mask for Nintendo 64. The title will launch for Nintendo 3DS systems in spring of 2015. Skull Kid is the face of Majora’s Mask and will be featured in the Majora’s Mask 3D Limited Edition. The Skull Kid figurine will be bundled with Majora’s Mask 3D when it is released although the limited edition will only be available at select retailers. The Majora’s Mask 3D Limited Edition will cost $49.99, only ten dollars more than usual for a Nintendo 3DS title, and the same price as the recently released Persona Q Shadow of the Labyrinth. The title follows the same path carved by The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D which launched for the Nintendo 3DS in 2011. More time has been spent on Majora’s Mask 3D, allowing for new features to be implemented, such as fishing and redesigned boss fights.
Majora’s Mask 3D is a remake of a cult classic Legend of Zelda that was only available to players who owned the RAM expansion pack for Nintendo 64. It was a departure from the general Zelda formula of saving the princess and saving the world. This time, Link from Ocarina of time finds himself flung into an alternate world called Termina where the moon is slowly descending and will destroy everything in three days time. Link has to solve various puzzles and side quests in order to progress and defeat the Majora’s Mask, worn by Skull Kid. Link uses various masks to gain abilities and change form, and uses the Ocarina of Time to travel back to the beginning of the first day to start the quest anew. While critics at the time praised the title, the game was not as popular as other entries in the long running series, due to its dark themes and limited availability due to the RAM pack requirement.
