Both the iPhone 6 and its bigger brother, the iPhone 6 Plus have been made available for purchase a while ago, but you couldn’t get them unlocked in the US except via T-Mobile until now. SIM-free versions of these smartphones were only made available today on the Apple Store where they come in all colors and storage options. The price tag is identical to the one T-Mobile used to charge so it may seem like there’s really nothing different about these new models. However, the advantage here is that you can get a new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus directly from Apple and without any restrictions that T-Mobile might decide to put in place.
As mentioned, the price is what you’d expect, meaning that you will still have to pay a pretty penny if you want to be the proud owner of one of these flagships. Specifically, a new iPhone 6 with 16 GB of storage on board will end up costing you no less than $650. More storage means more money and Apple makes no exceptions when it comes to this rule. A 64 GB iPhone 6 goes for $750 while the 128 GB variant is available for $850. Similarly, the price for the iPhone 6 Plus also increases by $100 with every storage bump, but the device itself is a bit more expensive than its sibling from the get-go. As such, interested customers will have to pay $750 for the 16 GB version, $850 for the 64 GB model, or a whooping $950 for the 128 GB iPhone 6 Plus.
Neither the iPhone 6, nor the iPhone 6 Plus comes equipped with a microSD card slot for additional memory, so thinking carefully about the storage beforehand is strongly advised. Both variants are available in Silver, Gold, and Space Gray colors and will ship in 3-5 business days from the moment of purchase. Stay tuned for all the latest news and updates.
