Leaked Galaxy S6 photos have been spotted in the wild, and while we are glad to see Samsung progressing with the manufacture and design of Project Zero, we are not taken aback with what we can see in the images. The Galaxy S6 will supposedly be the flagship for 2015 from the South Korean company which promised it would start from scratch and redesign the phone to match current demands for premium builds.
Even though there are tons of rumors flying around about the flagship, we finally have the first leaked Galaxy S6 photos to glare at, but not in wonderment. We might see the handset being released at CES 2015, but that information hasn’t been confirmed, and neither has the authenticity of the leaked Galaxy S6 photos. Even so, the photos show off a metal-clad device with rounded edges, which reminds of a certain Neo edition from the company. What’s more intriguing about the photos is that they show a fully assembled, working unit, which would mean that the device is ready for introduction and would corroborate a CES 2015 announcement.
The leaked Galaxy S6 photos do show off a handset with Samsung traits, including the big home button, colorful background image and Android 5.0 Lollipop-style notifications. Otherwise, the rounded edges and metal design of the alleged Galaxy S6 unit aren’t anything to write home about and if this indeed is the upcoming flagship, many will be disappointed and will strike out at Samsung for not keeping their promise of completely redesigning the phone. Not that you can redesign that much on a rectangle-shaped phone… Nonetheless, we would have expected more from the company and the leaked Galaxy S6 photos don’t do Samsung’s promise justice.
As a reminder, rumored specs for the Galaxy S6 are a 5.2 or 5.5 inch QHD display, powered by a 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 CPU. backed by 3 GB RAM and Android 5.0 Lollipop. A big battery, a fingerprint sensor, a 20 MP camera and an edge-display-variant are also rumored to be featured upon the announcement of the handset. The leaked Galaxy S6 photos come from Toranji, an Iranian website, so take them with a grain of salt, as no official word has been received from the almighty South Korean Samsung.
