World of Tanks just received the 9.5 update. The update will add a number of things to the game, including new tanks to pilot and maps to drive those tanks on.
The 9.5 update for World of Tanks is available now. Details on the update were released on the game’s website, along with a video (seen below). Coming with the update is three maps: Mittengard (for lower battle levels), Ghost Town (for Team Battles), and Winterberg (a snowy version of Ruinberg). Unfortunately, the Severogorsk and Ruinberg on Fire maps were removed. Also coming is a number of new U.K. tanks and tank destroyers. These include the Charioteer, Archer, and Sherman III.
Other big changes coming in the new update for World of Tanks are for the minimap. Along with the vision cone, there will now be a beam that extends off of a player’s vehicle to show where their camera is pointed. Artillery will now get a cone that shows their whole traverse area. Vehicle names for both teams can now be seen on the map along with class icons. For spotted enemies that have become un-spotted, there will be an indicator on the minimap showing where they disappeared from view. Also coming soon will be Personal Missions. Personal Missions are a form of missions that are not time-limited and are “chained” together. Completing these will give players rewards like high-tier vehicles or special crew members.
A free-to-play MMO, World of Tanks has players commanding armored vehicles in battles for supremacy. The title features over 200 vehicles from the Soviet Union, United States, Germany, Britain, France, China, and Japan. There are 5 types of vehicles for players to pilot in World of Tanks: light tanks, medium tanks, heavy tanks, tank destroyers, and self-propelled guns.
World of Tanks is available for PC. The 9.5 update is live now.
