Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is the highly anticipated re-release of the hit Japanese title. At this year’s Jump Festa, a number of things were revealed, including a new trailer and PlayStation 4 bundle.
One of the things revealed was the Final Fantasy Type-0 HD PlayStation 4 bundle. This bundle includes a crimson red and black PlayStation 4 console with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD branding, a crimson red DualShock 4 controller, a copy of the game, and download codes for both the Final Fantasy XV demo and a Type-0 theme. It will launch on March 19th for 46,980 yen, with preorders opening on December 22nd at 13:00 Japan time. Also shown was a new collector’s edition dubbed the “Ultimate Box,” which will be a Square Enix e-Store exclusive for 19,440 yen. The set comes in a special box made to look like an admissions package to the school. It comes with the “Best of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Final Fantasy Agito” soundtrack CD, a school calendar that starts in April, a school ID, Ace’s Magic Card set, and a scarf with the Type-0 insignia.
Along with the bundles, a new trailer for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD was also released, which can be seen below. The trailer shows some of the fast-paced action that players can expect from the game. Square Enix also revealed that they have updated the game’s camera, which has been smoothed to resolve collision issues with geometry, and whose targeting has been improved to make both characters and enemies more visible. Because of these adjustments, characters can move around faster and more smoothly. For example: Ace can teleport around more quickly, and Shiva is able to move faster.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will release on March 17th, 2015. It will release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Day One edition of the game will come packaged with the demo for Final Fantasy XV.
