World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition is the console version of the hit action MMO. This week, the free-to-play title will be releasing a new update focusing on French steel.
Dubbed Le Barrage Francais, the new World of Tanks: Xbox 36o Edition update will add a number of new tanks, as confirmed on the game’s website. A number of French tanks are being added, including the AMX 105, the Lorr.155 51, and the B-C 1555 58. In addition to the French tanks, a few Soviet light tanks are being added to the game as well. These tanks are the T-60, T-70, and the T-80. The new update will also include a couple of new maps for players to battle upon. The two maps are Highway and Steppes. These maps will offer players a varied selection of hot zones and terrain to battle upon. This update will be free, as long as you have Xbox Live.
A free-to-play title, World of Tanks first debuted in North America in April 2011. The game focuses on PvP action where players take command of tanks in order to do battle on various maps. World of Tanks has six modes to play: random battles, team-training battles, tank-company battles, team battles, historical battles, and clan battles. The game features over 200 armored vehicles, all in five classes: light tanks, medium tanks, heavy tanks, tank destroyers, and self-propelled guns. The vehicles are separated into seven nations: Soviet, German, American, French, British, Chinese, and Japanese. All of these vehicles have their pros and cons, with some being well-rounded, and others excelling in some areas while falling behind in others. World of Tanks has been well received, with millions of players already registered and playing.
World of Tanks is available on PC. The game has also reached to the Xbox 360 in a free-to-play version. The new Le Barrage Francais is available now.
