Tomb Raider has sparked up some controversy lately. With Rise of The Tomb Raider being announced as a timed exclusive for Microsoft. Well, Aaron Greenberg shared some news that some fans are concerned about, Microsoft will be publishing the latest Tomb Raider game. Many fans are naturally upset by this. As Sony grabs Street Fighter for the PS4, some fans see it as Microsoft grabbing Tomb Raider for the Xbox One. Aaron Greenberg was caught on Twitter saying the following to question asking if Microsoft or Square Enix were publishing the new Tomb Raider:
@diosmekemeke Yes we are publishing Rise of the Tomb Raider.

While many fans of the Tomb Raider series may find this troubling they may also want to note one thing, this isn’t new. While it is a confirmation, this statement does not prove exclusivity of the next Tomb Raider. It does confirm that the Xbox One version of Tomb Raider will be published by Microsoft, but not exclusivity. This isn’t the first game this has happened to, remember Mass Effect? Mass Effect was originally published by Microsoft for the Xbox 360, but eventually came to the PS3. While Tomb Raider may be a different story, it does not appear as if anything has changed.
It certainly may seem as if Tomb Raider will be an Xbox One exclusive, but it can easily go to other platforms. What confirms this is Square Enix’s statement when they were reached out to, Square Enix stated “Yes, Microsoft will be publishing Rise of the Tomb Raider on Xbox,” So, the game is more than likely not exclusive to Xbox One forever. The situation is still the same, Microsoft grabbed Tomb Raider as a timed exclusive. Now with new information out though, many are concerned about the news. While Tomb Raider is only slated for Xbox One as of now, it will not be too surprising to see the game go to other platforms after its initial release on the Xbox One.
