Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has been receiving free patches with extra content for awhile. Now a new patch, patch 2.45, has been released, bringing about a few new things.
The new patch for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will allow players to get married. Through the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding, two individuals are able to go through a special rite of passage to pledge a lifetime of devotion to each other. The quest features a beautiful ceremony, outfits for all the hosts and guests, special gifts and more. In order to go through the ceremony, players must submit an application to the Mog Station. The patch will also continue the Zodiac weapon quest series, and will be the first time that the upgraded weapons will take on a new appearance. The update will bring adjustments for the dragoon and ninja jobs, and a new feature that allows seasoned adventurers to assist their fellow players in the Final Coil of Bahamut. The patch will also have new items and more.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is the rebooted version of the failed Final Fantasy XIV. A Realm Reborn has been well received, and fixed many of the problems that the original version of the game had. Since August 2013, the game has received a number of patches that have added new content, including new scenarios, new jobs, and more. This Spring will see the release of the first actual expansion, Heavensward, which will include a new plot for players to follow (you can read about that here). The expansion takes players to Ishgard, and deals with the Dragonsong War. The expansion allows free companies to build airships, increases the level cap to 60, and will introduce a new playable race.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC.
