Game of Thrones fans can get their fix as Telltale’s video game adaption is unleashed on the world tomorrow. Ahead of tomorrow’s debut, Telltale has released a new and rather foreboding trailer for the game.
The newest trailer features some of the most notorious personalities from Westeros and the HBO actors that portray them. Check out the launch trailer for “Iron From Ice”, the first episode of Telltale’s Game of Thrones, before it’s release tomorrow:
Can’t wait to dive into “Iron From Ice”? Here’s a rundown of the release dates and systems that Telltale has revealed so far:
- December 2nd on Windows PC, Mac and PlayStation 4 (PS 4 North America only)
- December 3rd on XBox One, XBox 360 and PlayStation 4 (PS 4 Europe)
- December 4th on iOS
- December 9th on PlayStation 3 North America and Europe
“Iron From Ice” is the first of a six episode story arc in Telltale’s Game of Thrones video game adaption. “Iron From Ice” are the house words of the House of Forrester, the family that this first episode centers around. All of the five characters that players will get to choose from are members of the House of Forrester or those that serve them.
Fans of Telltale’s previous titles like The Walking Dead and Tales from the Borderlands will know how unusual the six episode story arc for the Game of Thrones is. Andrew Grant, who was a writer on “Iron From Ice”, explained why there was the necessity for six episodes, “As we got into it, we realized the arc was well-suited to a six-episode arc, with the first episode doing a lot of heavy lifting in introducing who these playable characters are. Let’s give you a chance to know them, and grapple a little bit with the initial dilemma.”
