Guilty Gear Xrd Sign will soon be arriving on the PlayStation 3 and 4. Ahead of that, however, gamers can get a glimpse of the action in the game thanks to a couple of videos showcasing the title.
The two videos (seen below) feature almost a combined hour of gameplay on the PS4. Both videos focus on the game’s arcade mode, with the first video featuring Sol Badguy, and the second Ky Kiske. Through these videos, the different skills and abilities of Guilty Gear’s fighters are shown. The fighting style is similar to past games in the franchise, but the visuals have changed. Rather than hand-drawn sprites, the title features cel-shaded visuals, allowing the game camera to have more dynamic movement.
The roster for Guilty Gear Xrd Sign will feature 17 characters. 12 of the fighters have been featured in past Guilty Gear titles, with a few new characters, including upcoming DLC fighters. The list of fighters are: Sol Badguy, Ky Kiske, Millia Rage, May, Chip Zanuff, Potemkin, Venom, Axl Low, Faust, Zato-1, I-No, Slayer, Bedman, Ramlethal Valentine, Sin, Elphelt, and Leo Whitefang.

Guilty Gear Xrd was released in arcade in Japan in February of this year. The game was created using the Unreal Engine 3, due to a low price and the ability to port it easily to home consoles. A demo of the game is available right now, though only for those with a PlayStation Plus subscription. The demo features the arcade modes for Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske, as well as a training mode to help players either learn the game’s fighting system, or to let veterans polish up their skills.
Guilty Gear Xrd Sign releases in Japan on December 4th. The game will release on the PS3 and PS4. The game follows in North America soon after on December 16th.
