Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth for the PS Vita is still some time away. To help with the anticipation of the title, new information on characters and Digivolution have been released.
One of the characters revealed is Rie Kishibe. She is the Operating Officer of Kimishiro Enterprise, which oversees the EDEN project. Despite having a mellow disposition and putting on airs of consideration for other people’s thoughts and feelings, she does have deep confidence in her decisions. Thus, she rarely listens to anyone else’s suggestions. Also revealed was Crusadermon. A holy knight-type Digimon and “Royal Knights” member who is king of all knightmon, it is deeply involved in the incidents occurring in the real world. Not good or evil, Crusadermon is true to its thinking of the word “justice,” and cannot be labeled. If “rule by force” can bring peace, then Crusadermon will find value in it. There is a level of ruthlessness in the execution of its missions, and it has no mercy for the week.
Also revealed for Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth was information on Digivolution. As Digimon get stronger, they will Digivolve. Their levels and skill points increase as they win battles, allowing them to Digivolve into a variety of other Digimon. Digivolution is possible through certain conditions. For example, Greymon can evolve into MetalGreymon, MetalGreymon (Virus), Megadramon, or SkullGreymon, with each having its own conditions that must be met. While a Digimon can Digivolve through leveling up, there are rare Digivolutions that can occur through certain methods. This can include repeated Digivolving, de-digivolving to break through level caps, and training up latent skill points. Some of these evolutions can also require a certain item.
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth releases in Japan in Spring of 2015. The title will be released on the PS Vita. There is no word on whether or not the game will come stateside.
