Hyrule Warriors has just received a new DLC package featuring a new playable character. To help with the new release, a launch trailer for the DLC package has been released to give players a taste off what to expect in the new add-on.
The new trailer, seen below, showcases the new character joining the fray in Hyrule Warriors: Twili Midna. The true form of Midna, this is the human-like form that she turns into at the end of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. She is able to summon giant fists to smash her enemies, and summon dark shadows to engulf them. Along with Midna, Zelda will be gaining a new weapon: the Dominion Rod. With this, Zelda summons a giant statue that copies her movements, crushing anything in her way. Link and Zelda also receive costumes, with Zelda’s being based on Ilia from Twilight Princess, and Link’s being based on the Postman from the same game.
The Twilight Princess Pack will also include additions to the Adventure Mode, as well as additional weapons. The DLC will cost $7.99 alone, or players can buy it as part of a $20 package that includes two other DLC packs. The Twilight Princess pack is the second DLC pack for Hyrule Warriors, following the Master Quest Pack, which included Link’s trusted steed Epona. Upcoming is the Majora’s Mask Pack, which releases in January, and the Boss Pack, which releases in February.
Hyrule Warriors is available now on the Wii U. Hyrule Warriors is a mash up title between The Legend of Zelda series and the Dynasty Warriors franchise. The game mixes the hack-and-slash gameplay of Dynasty Warriors and the characters and settings of the Zelda titles. Hyrule Warriors has a bigger emphasis on combat than the Zelda series, yet allows players to use items and weapons that are staples to those games.
