Criminal Girls: Invite Only is a risque JRPG for the PS Vita. The series has never been released outside of Japan before, but it seems that is about to change early next year.
According NIS America, Criminal Girls Invite Only will be released in North America on February 3rd, and will soon follow in Europe a few days after on February 6th. Criminal Girls is a Japanese-only RPG for the PSP system. In the title, players lead a group of girls damned to hell on a path to salvation. The game does have a twist in gameplay that is different than other conventional RPGs. Rather than just bark out orders to the girls, you have to listen to their desires, and choose from a repertoire of skills, spells, and combo attacks that they want to use.
Players are able to connect with the girls, and this is where Criminal Girls: Invite Only gets rather racy. Using the front touchscreen and rear touchpad, players are able to have one-on-one sessions with the girls, where they are able “punish” them and fulfill some of their requests. Through this, you are able to uncover the pasts of these girls that you are trying to save.
Criminal Girls: Invite Only will be compatible with the PlayStation TV. The PS Vita version coming to the West is an updated version of the original Criminal Girls, and will have a host of brand new content not seen in the original. This includes new playable characters and new scenarios for the girls to get into.
As with many JRPGs, there will be a limited edition version of Criminal Girls: Invite Only available. The $51.99 limited edition comes with a copy of the game, art book, soundtrack CD, and a special box. This edition is available on the NIS America Online Store.
