Sony released a new video today revealing just which games PS Plus subscribers will be getting for free on their PlayStation 4 this December and January. Starting this December, Sony is offering PS Plus subscribers superhero fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us and western shooter Secret Ponchos.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is the DC Comics based fighter featuring characters such as Superman, Batman, and Lex Luthor. Players battle it out in interactable stages to see who is DC’s best fighter. Created by Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm studios, the game features an extensive cast of comic book favorites. Sony’s second free game is Secret Ponchos. Secret Ponchos is a top-down, twin-stick shooter based in the West. The game’s main focus is PVP, where players earn notoriety, and will receive a bounty on their heads. Other players are able target these gamers, and receive the bounty for defeating them.
In January, Sony will be giving PS Plus subscribers with a PS4 inFAMOUS: First Light and The Swapper. inFAMOUS: First Light is a standalone DLC game based off of inFAMOUS: Second Son. In First Light, players take control of Abigail “Fetch” Walker, a young girl with neon based superpowers. The game follows Fetch as she hunts down a drug dealer to exact revenge on him for killing her brother.
Sony will also release indie title The Swapper in January. A Metroidvania style side-scrolling puzzler, players find themselves stranded on a damaged space station looking for a way to escape. The player acquires a cloning tool that will help them solve their way off the station. With the gun, players are able to create clones of themselves, and can swap between each clone as long as that clone is within eye sight. At the moment Sony has not announced what games they will be giving away for the PS3 and PS Vita this December and January.
