The Warcraft Movie is officially underway and many fans were asking for a full cast and characters list since this epic movie was announced by Blizzard. In last week’s BlizzCon event, Warcraft live-action movie director Duncan Jones revealed his WOW character lineup and the famous movie stars to be playing them. You’ll see many notorious names playing the well known characters of the game. Movie director, Jones was joined by Bill Westenhofer (Visual Effects Supervisor), Chris Metzen (Co-Producer) and Rob Kazinsky (best known for his roles in the notorious True Blood series and the Pacific Rim blockbuster, and who was playing Orgrim on stage for the Warcraft panel). During this official presentation, they together revealed the official character lineup. Let’s see who’s playing who in the upcoming Warcraft movie:
THE ALLIANCE
Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel)
The leading figure of the Alliance, Lothar is portrayed as a war hero who has sacrificed everything to keep the people of Azeroth alive.
King Llane Wrynn (Dominic Cooper)
King Llane is the leader of the Alliance city of Stormwind and the last glimmer of hope for its people.
Medivh (Ben Foster)
Known as ‘The Guardian,’ Medivh appears as a solitary and mysterious protector with legendary powers.
Garona (Paula Patton)
You might recognize Paula Patton from her Mission Impossible days. Here she will play Garona – a determined survivor caught between the Alliance and the Horde. She is forced to choose a side to which she will pledge loyalty.
Khadgar (Ben Schnetzer)
Khadgar is a gifted young mage who embarks on a challenging mission to find the absolute truth.
Lady Taria (Ruth Negga)
Taria is the royal Queen of Stormwind, King Lane’s great love and better half. She is the voice of reason and the king’s most trusted advisor.
THE HORDE
Durotan (Toby Kebbel)
The leader of the Horde, Durotan is the noble Chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan, fighting relentlessly to keep his people and family alive.
Orgrim (Rob Kazinsky)
Orgrim is Durotan’s right hand and a valiant warrior destined to wield the Doomhammer: a weapon of orc legend.
Blackhand (Clancy Brown)
Blackhand, also known as ‘The Destroyer’, is one of the most gruesome and skilled warchiefs of the orc-kind’s army.
Gul’Dan (Daniel Wu)
Gul’dan is a supreme orc commander, driven by great dark powers which are too strong to be controlled.
So, there you have it. The Warcraft movie is in the making and we’ll be seeing it in theaters on March 2016. Hopefully, the movie will not fail to deliver.
