The free games available for PlayStation Plus members next month have been revealed by Sony and there’s two for each platform, as per usual. First off, PS4 owners will receive free access on launch day to the upcoming Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, which is scheduled to release on November 4. The game is a remake of the original The Binding of Isaac released back in 2011 by indie publisher Headup games. The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is not only a mere remake however as it includes plenty of new rooms, enemies, items, at least three new characters, as well as a new chapter and ending. The other game available for PS4 owners with a PlayStation Plus membership goes by the name of SteamWorld Dig and is an action-adventure platformer that involves robots and a lot of mining.
Meanwhile, PS3 owners will receive the critically acclaimed TBT (turn-based tactics) Frozen Synapse for free in November. This indie title has received favorable reviews from pretty much every major news outlet, so it’s pretty good as you can imagine. The game is more like a tactical combat simulator than anything else, where players get to plan all of their moves and turns are resolved simultaneously. PS3 PlayStation Plus subscribers will also receive access to Luftrausers, a shoot ’em up by Devolver Digital which also received generally positive reviews.
Last but not least, PlayStation Vita gamers with a PS Plus subscription will also receive access to two free games in the form of The Hungry Horde and Escape Plan. Both are puzzle games published by Sony themselves and should each provide for several hours of quality entertainment. All these PlayStation Plus free games will become available for subscribers on November 4, the same day when this month’s free titles will be gone. Stay tuned for all the latest news and updates.
