It looks like Slender: The Arrival will be making its way to the PS4 and Xbox One if a recent PEGI rating is anything to go by. The European game ratings board gave the horror title a 12 and above rating while also mentioning both the PS4 and the Xbox One under the available systems category. While there hasn’t been an official announcement regarding this as of yet, this rate is a pretty good indication that Slender: The Arrival will indeed be released for next-gen consoles soon. The 12 and above rating is pretty self explanatory and was given by PEGI because the game contains “Images or sounds likely to be horrifying”. Can’t really argue with that.
Slender: The Arrival was initially released for PC and MAC back on March 26, 2013 and became available on Steam later that year on October 28. This was followed by the PS3 and Xbox 360 releases on September 24 and now it looks like it will also make it to the PS4 and Xbox One, although the specific release date is not known at the moment. Slender: The Arrival was published and developed by Blue Isle Studios in collaboration with Parsec Productions, the developer of the original game – Slender: The Eight Pages. The last-gen console versions were published by Midnight City and it looks like the developer is working with another publisher yet again as the PEGI page lists Majesco Europe Limited as the game’s publisher. As for what the game is all about, a short description can be found below.
“You’re on your own. No one to come for you. No one to help you. No one to hear you scream. Slender: The Arrival is the official videogame adaption of Slender Man, developed in collaboration with Eric “Victor Surge” Knudson, creator of the paranormal phenomenon that has been terrifying the curious-minded around the world since its inception, with Mark Hadley and Blue Isle Studios.”
