Fans can expect Gran Turismo 7 in 2015 or 2016, according to game designer Kazunori Yamauchi. The game will be released exclusively on the PlayStation 4 console.
Yamauchi assured fans that Polyphony Digital will be able to deliver a much better experience on Sony’s next gen console than they could on the more challenging PlayStation 3. He explains that the game will run more naturally and stressed that the difference is going to be made by the high quality of data they are rendering on the PlayStation 4. The developer also explains Polyphony’s vision regarding the next Gran Turismo title: “For GT7, myself and my staff have a clear vision: to do everything we couldn’t do in GT6. We want to make it very Gran Turismo. By that I mean it’s going to be a game that matches the very era that we live in, in 2015 or 2016.”
So far, no other details regarding Gran Turismo 7 were revealed, as it is too early in development for anything such as screenshots or gameplay videos to surface. Stay tuned, for as soon as any news arrive, you will be the first to know.
Gran Turismo 7 is a project in development and the sequel to Gran Turismo 6. GT 6 was developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, in December 2013, exclusively on the PlayStation 3 console. Polyphony already proved that they are open to innovation and to bringing new stuff to their games. Update 1.05, released in March 2014 added multi-monitor support to th GT 6, while update 1.06 allowed players to create custom wings, with parts that can be adjusted to their liking. These parts include wing mounts, wing style, winglets, height and width. Last but not least, the september update added the Quick Match feature to the Online gameplay. Starting this june, Polyphony Digital engaged in a partnership with the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile. The partnership includes a certification for four real world circuits in the game. Furthermore, in 2015, Polyphony and FIA will launch the “FIA Online Championship”. All of these hint at the fact that Gran Turismo 7 has the potential to be a great racing game.
