PlayStation Plus October line-up announced

Sony announced the October line-up for their PlayStation Plus service. Once again, members receive several games that they can play for free if they subscribe to the program, including two day one releases. This month, Sony decided to add one more new title to the mix, in addition to the usual bundle. You can find out which games are free in the following paragraph.

The new games available on PlayStation Plus this month include Dust: An Elysian Tail and Spelunky on PS4 (but this also applies to the PS3 and Vita versions) and Pix the Cat on PS Vita. In addition to these titles, the company will also offer PS Plus members a bonus game – a special version of DriveClub, which includes eleven tracks, ten cars and all the game modes. DriveClub is a racing game developed by Evolution Studios and published by Sony exclusively on PlayStation 4. With this offer, you can play the game for free and then upgrade to the retail version for $49.99 if you like it. The other two releases offered for free to Plus members include the PlayStation 3 versions of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara and the PS Vita epic strategy game Rainbow Moon.

All these games will be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers starting October 7, 2014. For those who don’t know, a subscription to this service costs $9.99/month, $17.99 for three months or $49.99 for a year. If you are not sure whether it’s worth paying for PS Plus, Sony offers you a 14 Day trial. A subscription entitles you to features such as the ability to play PlayStation 4 games online, large discounts and free instant games on three different platforms – PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. Some of the games included in the offer are available cross-platform, meaning that you can get a free version of a title on all consoles.

About Crisan Mircea

I'm a journalism graduate and an occasional gamer. As a kid I used to own a NES clone called "Terminator 2", which was hugely popular in my country. I like old school games and adventure games but I occasionaly play RPG's and Shooters as well, though I wouldn't call myself an expert at these kinds of games. When I'm not writing or playing games I prefer reading detective or fantasy novels.
