League of Legends “naughty players” will not be ranked

According to a recent League of Legends forum feed, players who do not abide by the rules will not be ranked in online queues. The first official policy concerning the offenders of the game was released back in July. Since then, Riot Games has constantly trying to make changes, as many players were cutting corners or disregarding the game’s online rules. Therefore, they’ve decided to implement their Ranked Restrictions policy on Europe and North America live servers. The policy is currently on a trial period, and will prevent players who do not behave themselves from joining ranked queues. What this means is that League of Legends online offenders will not be getting any ranking privileges until they have proven that they are willing to “keep it clean.” Here reads:

“With Ranked Restrictions now live-testing on NA and EU, restricted players will be unable to queue up for ranked until they complete a certain number of games in Normal Draft.” Riot officials say they will introduce this new system of player behavior monitoring on other global servers, depending on its success on current live test servers. Ranked Restricted players will be also blocked from every other queue chat. “One thing we specifically wanted to address is that Ranked Restricted players will be Chat Restricted in other queues, and they can and should still be reported if they continue to display negative behaviors while playing through their restrictions.” These restrictions will be active until the Normal Draft period of play has been completed, and a final evaluation will be made to establish the improvements to the player’s in-game behavior.

Players who do not show any improvements will continue to play with the above stated limitations. In contrast to these restrictions, League of Legends “top notch” players will be enjoying the Ranked Rewards trophy. Obviously, Ranked Restricted players will not able to enjoy these privileges. “Related to Ranked Restrictions, we’ve determined that Ranked Rewards should reward positive sportsmanship just as much as they reward great play, so the most negative players who are Ranked Restricted at the end of the season will be ineligible to earn ranked end of season rewards such as the loading screen borders or Victorious Morgana champion skin. While the majority of players will not be affected by this ruling, we wanted to message it well in advance so that players concerned about their behavior have more than enough time to adjust and reform before the end of the season.” So behave, you League of Legends “criminals.”
