Publisher Bandai Namco Games has announced that its latest entry in the Ultimate Ninja Storm series – Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution – is now available for purchasing on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. PC gamers will get it – via Steam – starting September 16th. To celebrate, the publisher has released a launch trailer, which you can watch below.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution boasts never-before-seen content, in addition to new fighting types, Ultimate Combination Jutsu attacks, Guard Breaks, and Counter-attacks. What’s unique about this latest entry in Naruto’s gaming saga is that it also comes packed with three exclusive Anime, all created by Studio Pierrot and woven into the gameplay – ‘Creation of the Akatsuki’, ‘The Two Uchiha’ (background story around Itachi and his best friend Shisui) and ‘Far Reaches of Hope’ (with Kushina, Minato and his team during their youth). To top it all, Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution includes brand-new characters – such as Mecha-Naruto (game-exclusive by Masashi Kishimoto), Obito (Ten Tails mode), Shisui Uchiha (revealing his Susano’o that has been designed by Masashi Kishimoto), or Konoha’s four Hokages (re-animated version) – in addition to a new solo mode called ‘Ninja World Tournament’, which will further explores Mecha-Naruto’s cybernetic alter-ego.
“It is with great joy that we release the latest game born from our association with the exceedingly talented CyberConnect 2 team. With more than 2M units sold for Storm 3 & Storm 3 Full Burst combined, our expectations for Storm Revolution are set quite high! The game content and quality are greater than ever, thanks to a tremendous work from everyone. Our fans feedback is really important to us and this is why we created the Storm League platform; we wanted the fans to have an official platform to create their tournaments and compete in the best environment possible!” says Herve Hoerdt, Vice President of IP Strategy at Bandai Namco Games Europe.
To further celebrate the game’s launch, Bandai Namco Games Europe will be hosting its first tournament on the 26th of September.
