Publisher Ubisoft has just announced that it will be bringing various playable demos to the upcoming gaming event set in London – EGX. Consumers will be able to get their hands on Far Cry 4, The Crew – on consoles for the first time – and Assassin’s Creed Rogue, in addition to witnessing exclusive live showings of Assassin’s Creed Unity, Tom Clancy’s The Division, “and more”. Ubisoft’s presence at EGX this year will be its biggest to date, with the publisher offering over 80 playable stations, a huge Far Cry 4 elephant throne, an authentic Assassin’s Creed Unity guillotine, as well as a live stage where attendees will be able to enjoy live demos, developer presentations, and exclusive competitions. Finally, customers who pre-order Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, or The Crew at the show will be granted an exclusive piece of limited-edition custom artwork.
Assassin’s Creed Unity will be set in Paris on the eve of the French revolution. The modern day setting will focus on the assassins contacting the player and requesting their help to explore Arno – the game’s protagonist – in the past, as well as helping in the present. Co-operative multiplayer missions will follow the development of the brotherhood of assassins during said uprising. On the other hand, Far Cry 4’s story follows Ajay Ghale, an English-speaking Nepalese native who returns to Kyrat – a wild and untamed region of his home country to scatter his mother’s ashes. Once there, he becomes caught up in a civil war, as the people struggle under the despotic regime of self-appointed king Pagan Min (Troy Baker). Finally, The Crew is an open and persistent world for racing across the United States. Its creative director Julian Gerighty has called the game a role-playing game with large-scale multiplayer elements. The multiplayer is not separate from the single-player, as players can form crews to race together or against ghost records.
Assassin’s Creed Unity launches on November 11th in North America and Nov. 14th in Europe, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Far Cry 4 gets released on November 18th in North America and Europe and November 20th in Australia, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Finally, The Crew’s launch dates are as follows – November 11th in North America, Nov. 13th in Australia, Nov. 14th in Europe – all on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
