Bethesda offers three lucky attendees to their PAX event “The Evil Within” branded Xbox One consoles. The event is a collaboration with creative production company iam8bit and will take place at “The White Room”, in the historical Seattle Underground.
Saturday, the 30th of August, from 8pm to midnight, attendees will be allowed to play The Evil Within. In addition to this, the first 700 people who arrive on location will receive a PAX-exclusive “Evil Within” t-shirt. All the attendees will participate in a raffle for a chance to win one of the three “Evil Within” branded Xbox One consoles. The company notes that participants must be 18 years or older and that admission is allowed on a first come, first served basis. No attendee limit was set by Bethesda, but they will most likely allow as many fans to enter as the location permits. Attendees over the age of 21 will be able to join the present developers for an adult beverage at a place called “Doc’s”, situated just a few steps from the event location.
According to the developer, “The Evil Within” follows detective Sebastian Castellanos, as he and his partners are called to investigate a gruesome mass murder. After seeing his colleagues getting brutally murdered, the protagonist is ambushed and knocked unconscious. He wakes up only to find himself in a world where hideous creatures wander among the dead. Sebastian has to face unimaginable terror while fighting for his survival and, eventually, unravel the mystery behind the evil force that drew him there.
Besides the promise of an extremely scary game, Bethesda also teases the voice talents behind “The Evil Within”. The main protagonist will be played by Anson Mount, known for playing Cullen Bohannon on AMC’s Hell on Wheels. Another actor involved with this game is Jennifer Carpenter, who played Debra Morgan in the “Dexter” series. The game’s villain will be voiced by Jackie Earle Haley, the actor who played Freddy Krueger in the 2010 remake of “A Nightmare on Elm Street”. Another addition to the cast is Yuri Lowenthal, known for voicing the protagonist of the “Ben 10” animated series.
