With people becoming more and more fascinated by selfies and trying to obtain top quality images, Nokia has taken advantage of the craze and decided to launch the Nokia Lumia 730, dubbed the Selfie Phone.
Personally, I don’t do selfies, except when I’d forgot my mirror at home, but I’m aware that millions of people enjoy having some fun with their front camera and the fact that front cameras have not been as endowed as rear cameras in smartphones in the past years, I think the Lumia 730 hits the spot and makes a really large target audience gravitate towards the new device.
The Lumia 730 sports a 5 MP front camera, a 8 MP Zeiss rear camera (we’re not sure whether it’s going to be 6.7 or 8, but we hope for the best), having only a virtual shutter and navigation keys present. Its specs are not be ignored, since it will be running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU at 1.2 GHz with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage at a fairly low price of $240. You also have the option to use it as a dual-SIM phone, which is great for the price, since other phones equipped to support two SIMs are a bit on the expensive side.
The Selfie Phone features a polycarbonate unibody and many hope to be shipped with Microsoft headphones as well, although many have voiced their negative opinion on the quality and absence of the headphones in previous Lumia editions. The phone will be powered by a 2000 mAh battery, which will hopefully keep up with the tons of selfies people will be sharing.
The best things about the Lumia 730 seem to be the colors they will be available in, leaked images revealing a vibrant orange unibody that flatters the eye, the Windows 8.1 Update 1 OS with which it will be shipped and the fact that it is supposed to hit the shelves at the end of this month!
If you’re a selfie or simply a Lumia enthusiast, you should get set, because it’s almost the end of the month and the device sounds pretty awesome for a phone designed to take selfies!
