Rumor has it that Rockstar plans on releasing some downloadable content packs for GTA 5. Moreover, these DLCs will apparently only be released for the PS4, but they might also just be timed exclusive, so bound to come out on other platforms as well at some point.
Users on the GTA forums have found some interesting information within the game’s source code which suggests that we might end up seeing zombies in GTA 5. The code contains the string main_ZMB which is why some people are speculating that it might refer to zombies, although it could also be something completely different. We could be looking at hints of content that was supposed to make it to the game, but never did for some reason. This content may or may not come as DLC for GTA 5 or GTA Online in the future. In any case, take this with a massive grain of salt for now.
Also on the forums, we can find discussions about some other possible DLCs. One user says: “They are adding some of cut content to SP DLC. I found some interesting functions/hashes for SP DLC and unknown dlc ( called norman dlc according to game files ).” He also mentions something about the Casino DLC, which was rumored to come to GTA 5 for a while now. The source code reveals a few more details about this DLC including that there will be more than one casino, new missions for IAA, new missions for Trevor, and 12 new assassination missions. The forum users has even managed to find the coordinates for two of them: assassin_skydive and assassin_cablecar. They also seem to believe that Hydra, Besra and all pilot school vehicles will be added to the single player campaign in the form of DLC at some point. Finally, there is speculation that some of this content will supposedly be exclusive to the PS4, for a while at least.
It’s anyone’s guess when, or if any of this will end up coming to GTA 5 as most of this seems to speculation rather than evidence. That being said, gamers have learned a lot about what developers are planning with their games in the past just by studying the source code so who knows? I hope that Rockstar will at least make a zombie DLC, that sounds pretty fun. GTA 5 will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime this Fall. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
