343 Industries announced in a blog post that Halo: The Master Chief Collection as well as Halo: Nightfall will each have their own dedicated panel at Comic-Con 2014. “Over the past two months, we’ve begun to share our plans for the current year and beyond,” the post reads. “We started to announce new characters, vehicles, and re-mastered maps. In the near future, we’ll have more to share on everything from Halo: The Master Chief Collection to Halo: Nightfall, and more. We know you’re anxiously awaiting more details on these projects, and it just so happens that we’ll have new info to share with you quite soon. The next stop for the Halo team is sunny San Diego for the world famous Comic-Con International.”
The Halo: Nightfall panel will give us a first look at the upcoming digital series directed by none other than Ridley Scott, director of well-known movies such as Alien, Blade Runner, and more recently Prometheus. The panel will be hosted by Executive Producer Kiki Wolfkill, Franchise Development Director Frank O’Connor as well as key members of the cast and crew. Aside from a short video tease, we’ll get to hear the first details on the story and production of Halo: Nightfall. This panel takes place on Thursday, July 24, 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s panel will include in-depth discussions about the compilation and will be hosted by 343 Industries’ Senior Producer Dennis Ries, Franchise Director Frank O’Connor, Certain Affinity’s President and original Halo 2 multiplayer and online design lead Max Hoberman. The discussions will revolve around the efforts needed to bring the story of Master Chief and Halo’s multiplayer to a new generation of gamers. The panel takes place on Friday, July 25, 10:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
Neither panel will be live-streamed from Comic-Con 2014, but they will be recorded and posted on the official Halo Waypoint Youtube channel afterwards.
