Access Granted DLC for Watch Dogs out today

The Access Granted DLC for Watch Dogs is now available for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 users according to Sony. The content, which was originally released last week to those who had bought a Season Pass, will release on other formats tomorrow. Access Granted brings two weapons in the form of the Biometric Rifle and the Auto-6 pistol as well as additional perks that speed up reloading and provide an extra battery slot. You’ll also be able to get your hands on extra outfits to further customize your character.

The largest pieces of new content in the DLC though is the addition of three new singleplayer missions to the Watch Dogs campaign. The Signature Shot mission sees payers try to track a biometrics weapon that a gang has smuggled in Chicago. Once found you must steal it so that only you can use it. The objective in Breakthrough is to break into a secret meeting, disable a scrambling device and kill those taking part in the gathering. The last mission, The Palace, focuses on a police raid on a rich internet entrepreneur’s palace that contains a database with information on you and other important figures. The main goal is to get to the database first and wipe its data.

The Season Pass grants early access to all the Watch Dogs DLC in the Access Granted pack for $20, giving a saving of 25% over the normal price. The new DLC comes days after Ubisoft announced that it was working on a number of changes to the multiplayer in Watch Dogs. The modifications included altering the way online matches work so that notoriety would still be granted to those taking part in games even if certain goals aren’t met. Ubisoft stated that these changes were made to try make playing online a more fun experience and to discourage players from quitting in the middle of matches.
