Blizzard announced today that preparations have started for the next phase of the Heroes of the Storm Technical Alpha. The title is deep in development and new changes are constantly being made. Just these last few weeks the game received an overhauled user interface and new skins and heroes have also been added. But the company has just started and now they want to take it one step further. The biggest news is that new Heroes of the Storm Alpha invites will be sent when the next patch launches. Blizzard wants to test the servers in other regions so for the first time these invites will be sent outside the United States.
These regions are Europe, Latin America, South East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand with Taiwan, Korea, and China to follow at some point in the future. The company mentions that Heroes of the Storm will use the English client for all these regions until the localized ones are ready. Blizzard also says that they are working on implementing additional languages, which should be ready sometime in the coming months. Players that are lucky enough to receive an invite will be able to make purchases using the region’s accepted currency. As a final note, the company reminds everyone that several scheduled account wipes will take place once new phases of testing are reached. This means that you will lose all your unlocked content, items, and experience. You will receive a Battle.net Balance credit for any real money you spend so no need to worry about that.
You will need a Battle.net account if you want to opt-in for the Heroes of the Storm Technical Alpha and this is the only way by which you can receive an invite. There are no Alpha Keys or things like that and key generators are most certainly phishing attempts. So create a free account if you don’t already have one and go to your Beta Profile page under the Games & Codes section. There you will find all the Blizzard games that you might be interested in testing, including Heroes of the Storm. You will receive an email if you happen to get an invitation, but make sure to also check the Summary section of your account and see if the game is really there.
