Microsoft’s Phil Spencer presented the demo for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare during E3 today. The video shows off the upcoming title’s incredible visuals and new gameplay mechanics. By the looks of it, the game takes place in a very different world than previous COD games. The demo itself is set somewhere in Korea judging by the flags found throughout the city. Among the new weapons we find laser guns, heat seeking grenades, jet packs, and more. This adds to the already impressive list of weapons and gadgets we’ve seen in the trailer. Exoskeleton suits, mech suits, hover bikes, and cloaking devices, are just a few of the other additions to the game.
Among the enemy types you’ll encounter we find things such as swarms of robotic insects and giants four-legged robots. Not sure if you will fight the later, but it was shown in the demo so we assume that you might. Aside from graphics, setting, tech, and enemies, there have also been improvements in the cover mechanics department. Also, the game will feature Kevin Spacey, which looks incredibly similar to his real life self. Spacey will play the role of the antagonist in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. He is the head of a Private Military Corporation, which has turned against The United States’ government and is looking to overthrow it. And guess what? You’re going to help him with this endeavor.
The demo didn’t reveal any other important plot details but we already have enough to go on. All in all, the game really looks impressive and will most likely please both Call of Duty veterans and newcomers to the series. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be release on November 4, and will be available for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and the PC. Stay tuned for more E3-related news.
