Samsung is finally releasing the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8in the US. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is basically a Note 2 with an 8-inch screen. It’s still a great device and many people still enjoy using it. With the new update, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 should get a new life. It came out in April 2013 and had to wait for its KitKat update for quite some time. Now the wait seems to be over. The update already landed in different parts of the world already and the US is finally next to receiving it. The new update will bring a ton of new improvements as it’s lifting the OS version from 4.1 to 4.4. Because of this, the size of the update is a considerable 712MB and will bring immersive mode, clous print and other new features to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. You can wait for the OTA to arrive on your device or download it by KIES. The download will take some time but the update should go smoothly and fast. Make sure you’re on Wi-Fi connection if you don’t want to end up with a large bill from your carrier.
Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 won’t receive the newest TouchWiz UI currently found on the Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro and Samsung Galaxy Note Pro. The update may arrive in stages so you might not get it right away. You can check if it’s available for OTA update by going into Settings>About Tablet>Check for updates. We know that the update is on it’s way, so be patient. It will be worth it. Do you own a Samsung Galaxy Note 8? Did you already receive the update?
