Nvidia’s GTX Titan Z was released, but can you afford it?

Nvidia’s GTX Titan Z graphics card is finally available after being revealed back in March at the CDG 2014. The GTX Titan Z is said to be the most powerful graphics card in the world and comes at an equivalently high price. If you were thinking of purchasing it, know that this dual-GPU card will cost you a small fortune. Nvidia released the powerhouse for no less than $3.000, which is more than most people can afford. Judging by this ridiculously high price point we assume the GTX Titan Z to live up to its name of “gaming monster, built to power the most extreme gaming rigs on the planet.” Looking at its description we can see that it does and that the company wasn’t messing around when they released it.

The card comes with a massive amount of 5760 cores, 876 MHz Memory Clock and 12 GB of GDDR5 memory running at 7 Gbps. Needless to say, you’ll be hard pressed to find anything better on the current market. Nvidia themselves mentions that “It’s easily the fastest graphics card we’ve ever made.” The company basically packed two GTX Titans into one board and called it the GTX Titan Z. This is an over simplification of course, but the end result is a graphics card that will offer an unparalleled performance boost to your machine. If you can afford to pay the price that it is. $3000 is not exactly a small sum and we assume only the most hardcore of gamers will consider spending that amount of money on it. You’ve guessed it, they boasted a lot. And with good reason I might add. The GTX Titan Z does seem to be the best graphics card out there. They went all-in on this one without wondering if maybe the price point will turn away some of their potential customers.
