Summer always comes with good news and light for passionate gamers. Many reviewers and bloggers have been impatiently waiting for the new release dates for the newest video games. There is a great variety of opinions in regards to the best video games of the year, but why shouldn’t we also have a top of the summer, also?
There are five amazing games that we are excited for this summer (although there are many more games that haven’t made the list and we’d still love to try out), and we have place them in a top 5. So, let’s quickly take a look at these upcoming games and their release dates:
5. Wolfenstein: The New Order – will be released on May the 20th and it is a first person shooter game by Bethesda Softworks for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. This is the ninth installment in the Wolfstein series.

4. Transistor– will be released on May the 20th and it is a forthcoming science fiction-action RPG video game by Supergiant Games. It will be available on Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4 platforms, with other platforms possible in the future.
3. Mario Kart 8 – will be released on May the 30th and is an upcoming kart-racing game in development for the Wii U. It is the eleventh installment in Nintendo’s Mario Kart franchise, and the eighth in the main series.
2. Watch Dogs – will be released on May the 27th and it is an upcoming open world action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It will be available for Microsoft, Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One consoles. The Wii U version of the game has been put on hold.
1. Destiny – will be released on September 9th and it is an upcoming massively multiplayer online action role-playing first-person shooter video game in a “mythic science fiction” open world setting. It is developed by Bungie and published by Activision as part of a ten-year publishing deal. The game will be released on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One video game consoles, with a beta testing phase planned for this upcoming summer.
